Connection Settings

We provide the Connection Settings utility available from the top menu and selecting File - Quickbooks Connection Settings.

 

This will allow you to attempt to connect to Quickbooks by accessing your Company file. This is a test utility only as authorisation to connect to the Company file is handled under the various individual utilities provided in the software.

First of all make sure you have Quickbooks running and your Company file open.

 

In order to check out the connection settings we recommend that you leave all settings as they are. Simply click on the button in the red circle and select your Quickbooks Company file. Now click on Get Authorization and you will see if your version of Quickbooks is compatible with Dentists Manager.

 

If not it is sometimes possible to get authorization by updating your copy of Quickbooks and/or reinstalling Quickbooks.

 

To help identify any possible issues it is possible to create an on screen and text log file to send us to help identify any potential issues.
